Lennon Ferri

Lennon’s Mom: “Lennon, if you had to describe yourself in one word what would it be?”
Lennon: “I don’t know. Do they know me?”
Lennon’s Mom: “No, if someone didn’t know you, what word would you use to tell them about you?”
Lennon: “Ohhhh…I would probably tell them my favourite animal, it’s a giraffe!” "

Lennon Ferri: Warrior on Wheels

Lennon Ferri is a 5-year-old Senior Kindergarten student residing in St. Catharines, ON. She lives with her parents, along with her younger sister Leighton (affectionately known as Lala), and their cherished pets. Lennon has a deep affection for her furry companions, including two dogs named Raleigh and Benny, as well as two cats named Frank and Joe. When Lennon was four months old, her family received the diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA 1) after a two-month search for answers. SMA 1 is a genetic disorder that impacts motor neurons in the spinal cord, leading to the weakening of voluntary muscles and affecting various functions such as crawling, walking, swallowing and breathing. However, intellectual development remains unaffected by SMA. In fact, those with SMA are often highly intellectual individuals and Lennon is no exception, this girl is smart as a whip and loves to learn! When Lennon grows up, she wants to be a doctor!

Lennon loves playing doctor, barbies, singing and dancing, playing pranks on people and going for walks (off-roading) by the creek in their backyard. The Edge 3 Stretto has made a huge difference in their family walks, Lennon can now keep up with the family and she never gets stuck when “Off-roading”!

Lennon says her favourite things about the Edge 3 Stretto are “the fashionable pink colour on the back and the bottom and I really love how it goes up and down because then I can reach everything up high…like if there is cheese on the counter, I can just snatch it…oh sorry mom I stole some cheese off the counter. OH and the back up camera! It’s really good so I don’t hit anything by accident but also, I can use it to spy on LaLa.”

Lennon also loves that the USB charging port keeps her iPad charged and playing JoJo Siwa songs non-stop!

As for Lennon’s mom, she is super impressed with the i-Level feature of the Edge 3 Stretto. Lennon’s newfound ability to independently control lights and access her closet demonstrates the remarkable impact of these features. Lennon greatly values her independence, as does her family, and the Edge 3 Stretto has significantly enhanced it, filling a void that was present with a traditional power wheelchair. The power recline feature is also highly praised, as it allows Lennon to take quick rests anywhere, eliminating the need to meticulously plan the day around rest times.
